These 'Netflix sucks' threads are becoming tiresome. If you don't
like what they're offering, subscribe to a lesser service like
Blockbuster's. I happen to love Netflix and would NEVER think of
going back to a video rental store. I think a lot of people have
unrealistic expectations about what kind of service they are
'entitled' to. I'm not even concerned about the throttling; after
all, I have 66 films in my queue. If one film is delayed (by
circumstances or by design), I just get the next one on my list. And
the one that's delayed will arrive at some point anyway, and it's
usually not that long a wait. I don't need to receive 30 films a
month to feel like I'm getting my money's worth. And considering that
going to the movies can cost $20 per person (with popcorn and soda),
rent just ONE DVD and the service pays for itself.

So would I like a service that provides for as many DVD rentals as I
can possibly fit in? Say, 50 DVDs a month? Sure, why not. But
Netflix is a business and they're here to make a profit, and renting
out that many to each subscriber would be unprofitable, and they'd
have to close up shop. I'm not trying to defend 'Big Business', I'm
just being a realist. And like I said, I like what I'm getting for
the money. If you're not, cancel it and shut up already.
