Burning Dual Layer

Posted by Simm Webb on 10/06/94 11:41

I have a digital max DVD burner. It will work with dual DVD disks. My
question is the following. I am running a line from my DVR box on my
cable to my computer video input box. It consists of 3 coax lines with
RCA plugs on each end. The software which came with the box is "Camera
Mate" eve 2.0. I am also using NERO to work with. My problem is the
following. I can copy a movie from the DVR to my hard drive. Many of
the movies I copy are around 4 gig. Some of them exceed 4.6 gig. When
I use Nero to set up and copy the larger files, I set the drive up to
record DVD-9 disk. The largest file I tried to copy is 6.7 gigabytes.
It appears to work up to the 4.7 gig, and then it shows black bars on
the recording scale, and in the end, it locks up the point at the 4.7
gig area on the DVD.

How in the name of all that is sacred, can I get the burner to recognize
that I am using a dual layer drive, and that the file I am trying to put
on the drive should fit with no problems. (at least from my point of view).

I am open for suggestions.

Thank you,

Eddie
