(posted to a few groups) I have a Panasonic dvdr (ES10?) which I use
to record drd-r and they play fine on all the players in our home
except one very old machine where they stutter sometimes. they play on
the ps2 and xbox and computer too.
Then my daughter borrowed one and says she can't get a picture, though
she hears the sound without problem. I put this down to that advice
that not all discs will work on all machines though it was slightly
annoying as one of the reasons for buying the recorder was so i could
transfer home movies of her kids to dvd for her. Any way, I taped some
cartoons for her daughters, who also have players in their rooms and
one player works fine but the other apparently also shows no picture,
just plays sound. These players are not the same brand (though they
could be rebadged units) so is there anything that could be stopping
them from showing the picture apart from simple incompatibility?
Oh, it's not the discs as my son burned something on his computer for
them using one of my discs and it plays fine.
Thanks for any suggestions.
