(SCHOLASTIC VIDEO COLLECTION), PRIME, STAR TREK: FAN COLLECTIVE: BORG,

THE BACKYARDIGANS: CAVE PARTY (reviewed by David Johnson, overall
score 90/100):
"No, this isn't the long awaited Backyardigans sex tape."

BLACKOUT (reviewed by Paul Corupe, overall score 79/100):
"No one is spared from the spree of violence, and that's what makes the
story so frightening."

HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE: TWO-DISC SPECIAL EDITION (reviewed
by Jennifer Malkowski, overall score 98/100):
"This Yule Ball segment is good evidence of why the screenplay adaptors,
the editors, and Newell made excellent choices on where to speed and
where to linger. Would we rather see another few scenes with the
Dursleys and the S.P.E.W. subplot or really be able to delve into the
comedy and fumbling teenage romance of the Yule Ball? The choice is
easy, for me."

HOUSE ON TELEGRAPH HILL (reviewed by James A. Stewart, overall
score 88/100):
"Director Robert Wise isn't quite Alfred Hitchcock, but he does create a
serviceable thriller that kept me entertained."

THE LAST ROUND (reviewed by Paul Corupe, overall score 86/100):
"In keeping with his inspirations, Massi's take on the classic story is
a much more character-driven piece than the majority of Italian crime
thrillers, actively downplaying the violence and sleazy bloodshed to
dwell on Marco's vengeful plot and his careful manipulation of the
warring mafia families."
FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/lastround.php
THE LOSERS (reviewed by Paul Corupe, overall score 81/100):
"It's a tribute to everyone involved with The Losers that it works as
well as it does."

MARTIN'S BIG WORDS... AND MORE STORIES FROM THE AFRICAN-AMERICAN
TRADITION (SCHOLASTIC VIDEO COLLECTION) (reviewed by David Johnson,
overall score 85/100):
"For the socially conscious four-year-old in your family, Scholastic has
put together a sampling of educational stories, headlined by the man
himself, Martin Luther King Jr."
FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/martinsbigwords.php
PRIME (reviewed by Brett Cullum, overall score 87/100):
"Love is all about learning and growing, and this movie understands this
better than most romantic comedies. It's not quite up to Woody Allen's
Annie Hall or Manhattan, but it almost gets there. Perhaps if it hadn't
relied on a gimmick like the therapy sessions it could have been more
powerful, but then we wouldn't have much of a comedic conflict to hang
the plot on."

STAR TREK: FAN COLLECTIVE: BORG (reviewed by Mike Pinsky, overall
score 91/100):
"Whatever the Borg are, or might be, as aliens, Star Trek ultimately
turned them into yet another race than can be, in some future time,
assimilated into the Federation. Of course, if we all get to live
next door to a hot Borg like Seven of Nine, maybe that is not such a
bad thing."
FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/trekfancollectiveborg.php
UFO ULTRAMAIDEN VALKYRIE: BEDLAM, BATHHOUSE AND BEYOND (VOLUME 1)
(reviewed by Rob Lineberger, overall score 78/100):
"The Barbie-doll nudity of most anime is, frankly, creepy. But UFO
Ultramaiden Valkyrie has the decency to remember the nipples."
FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/ufoultramaidenvalkyrievol1.php
ULTIMATE BULLRIDING (reviewed by David Johnson, overall score 90/100):
"While I can certainly respect an hombre for staying atop a rampaging
bull for eight seconds and acknowledge that he is more of a man than I
can ever hope to be, the true electricity comes from the clips of dudes
getting smoked."
FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/ultimatebullriding.php
UNFINISHED BUSINESS (reviewed by Joel Pearce, overall score 85/100):
"What Unfinished Business does well, it does very well. On the top of
this list is the film's exploration of race issues in North America."
