Are you _sure_ Seven Entries isn't the sequel to Nine Songs? ;)
Thankyou very much for all those suggestions, I've made a note of them all
and I think I'm going to spend the afternoon IMDBing to work out
priorities... I usually can't afford more than 3 or 4 DVD's a month, so that
list should keep me going well into the summer!
Sunset Boulevard, Citizen Kane and Brief Encounter look like definite
immediate must sees, as is The Seven Samurai which I've heard great things
about - it would also be interesting to be able to evaluate the theory that
Pixar's A Bug's Life was inspired by Seven Samurai! Likewise with Citizen
Kane, even if I end up not enjoying it I do need to see it just to educate
myself about the history of film. A Bogart-adoring friend has also insisted
I see The Big Sleep and The Maltese Falcon. And I've never seen a single
Hitchcock film either... I have work to do! :)
