Replying to my own post... but however...
My brother recently asked me to get "And Then There Were None" (the black &
white one) for him online and I ended up buying a couple of silly-but-funny
movies that I was reminded of as I searched...
Murder By Death -very funny, totally stoopid one-liners from back when an
ensemble cast meant genuine talent on the screen. And the stoopid one-liners
aren't quite Leslie Nielson-bad. Most of them are very funny in fact... even
though you don't want to admit it most of the time.
And its "sequel" of sorts... The Cheap Detective. I'm not sure I even saw
this, but it's Peter Falk and Eileen Brennan reprising their roles from MBD.
Again it's written by Neil Simon and from the quotes on imdb it seems to be
more of the same, so that's good enough for me. :)
Then I also bought
Witness For The Prosecution (Billy Wilder) and Shadow of a Doubt (Hitchcock)
....and I never did buy And Then There Were None because of the three
releases available, two are cheap-and-nasty qualitywise and the other costs
over a tenner -even though it's not much of an improvement by all accounts.
....Hmmm I'm sure I had a clearer view of how any of this related to this
thread before I started... :^./
