I gave up January 2005 after being a filthy smelly smoker for 15 years. The
ad that really made me realise it was time to stop was the passive smoking
related one with the smoke coming out of kids mouths. It wasn't particularly
graphic, but it did actually make me stop and think. I've got two kids aged
6 and 2 and the thought of one day having to explain to them why I was dying
of lung cancer or had damaged their health by smoking was the incentive to
make me stop.
