Universal Pictures are delighted to announce the highly anticipated DVD
release of Doom, available to buy and rent on DVD and UMD from 3rd April
2005. Based on the hugely popular video game, this explosive action packed

Pike ( Die Another Day, The Libertine) will blast viewers into an

Something has gone wrong at a remote scientific research station on Mars.
All research has ceased, communication has failed and the messages that do
get through are alarming. It's a level 5 quarantine, and the only souls
allowed in or out are a Rapid Response Tactical Squad led by the mission
hungry Sarge (The Rock) and his squadron, armed to the teeth with
unprecedented firepower to carry on their mission.
A legion of nightmarish creatures of unknown origin lurk behind every wall
and stalk the countless rooms and tunnels.. far more powerful and
bloody-thirsty than anyone could ever imagine. When the horrible truth about
these creatures evil is unearthed, further complexities arise in how to rid
the research facility of this terrifying problem.
Doom brings you all the visceral excitement and startling action that made
its game predecessor a global phenomenon. Directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak (
Romeo Must Die, Thirteen Days) with fight sequences choreographed by Hong
Kong martial arts master Dion Lam ( The Matrix trilogy, Spider-Man 2) and
innovative, state-of-the-art visual effects from the legendary Stan Winston
Studios ( Jurassic Park III, A.I.: Artificial Intelligence), Doom combines
thrilling action with nail-biting suspense to create an unforgettable
cinematic thrill-ride.
