You might need to check the speed of the dvd's.
This is normally marked as 1x, 2x, 3x etc on the disc/case and reflects how
quickly a recorder will record material, e.g. 1x will record in real time,
2x will record the same programme in half the time etc.
You are better to have a lower speed as possible for home dvd recorders as
they only write in real time anyway.
I had the same thing with my sony recorder, I bought 8x DVD RW+ discs but
the recorder would not record on them.
I would say this will solve ur problem.
