Regarding the DVD recorder with commercial skip: I don't think you will get
this all in one box. As far as I know the only DVR with commercial skip is
the ReplayTV 5000 series. A separate DVD recorder would allow you to take
the cable from the Replay and record directly.
Alternatively hook the replay to your network and download the recorded
program to your computer, you will need DVArchive to do the download and
reVue to strip the commercials these a free on the internet. A DVD authoring
program would also allow you to make a good job of it. This all takes time
of course.
