Hmm. One thing I did to play JPEGs on a cheap player (it was the one I
had that would play JPEGs) was to make all my pictures 640x480 before
burning them to a CD.
That made them ply quicker and cleaner, but IIRC, the original pictures
*did* play, if slowly and distorted. They were 3 and 4MPixels (two now
out-of date cameras).
I don't have many pix to burn, so I haven't followed through on that
experiment.
