What difference does it make to you? No one is being forced to buy an
iPod or iTunes. The likelihood that this legislation would have any
significant impact on Apple is very very small. For iPods and iTunes the
French are 2% of their sales. There are so many ways around this law that
it's not likely to have much effect on even that 2%.
Do you guys like ever crack open a newspaper? The age group that most
of the iTunes customers come from has been rioting in the streets over other
legislation. I don't think those people are going to get too worried about
the legality of cross border downloads from iTunes.
