My Nexus-S was working fine for months till I had to reformat the HD.
I installed

Virtual DVD-S/-C/-T Network Adapter
Hauppauge WinTV-DVB-s
Hauppauge WinTV-Nexus-s

I think that's what worked before. Now I get OpenDevice not
successful. Hardware disconnected.
