What you want to do can't be done. Have you ever noticed that, when you go
to buy/rent the current Hollywood blockbuster, you have a choice of
widescreen OR full screen versions, not both on the same disc.
You need to decide whether your project is to be done in widescreen (with
black bars on the 4:3 material) or full screen where you'll have to decide
where to crop or pan&scan the 16:9 material to fit.
