Purchases outside the EU the limit is 18 on the item.
If the item is over 18, you will then have to pay VAT + Duty on not only
the item itself but the P&P too.
It's hit and miss if you get caught out by customs over 18.
(Obviously purchasing from within the EU is just like purchasing from the
shop in your high-street.)
