Well, video production and editing is my first field. The computers are my 2nd. Luckily, I can do
both, and save a ton of money that way. It doesnt have to be either, or. When I got my first
Toaster NT early 2000, I didnt know much about building a system that would handle it. God knows
how I was getting BSODs and all that to the point that I was trashing my Toaster system on a users
forum so bad that a dealer that was 500 miles away offered to look at it for free to shut me up and
stop hurting his sales. A few months later, I was working at one of the largest internet consulting
firms in the world as a network analyst and had to get up to speed real fast. To me, the two fields
nearly go hand in hand because when dealing with computers, there will be problems. It would be
handy to be able to deal with those problems yourself without having to depend on someone else.
But, for those who are not technical at all, stay away and pay the dealers for a turnkey system.
