Every DVD I've bought in the last few months has had a couple of
minutes worth of unskippable anti-piracy crap at the beginning, telling
me that if I was to buy pirate DVD's, I'd be paying the wages of
someone who would otherwise be a terrorist, drug dealer or child pimp
(or some such message anyway)
Without getting into the merits of their arguments, can I just send a
short message to the industry:
YOU'RE TARGETING THE WRONG PEOPLE!
I've been out and paid for the DVD. You can tell this by the way I have
to sit through this crap. If I'd paid a quarter of the price for a
copy, the film would be halfway through by the time the genuine version
gets to the menu.
OK, rant over. As you were.
