UNIVERSAL PLAYBACK is delighted to announce that the cult hit series
'American Gothic', produced by the legendary Sam Raimi, will be released for
the first time ever. Available on DVD as from 20th March and packed with all
22 episodes, including four "lost" episodes never broadcast on network
television, these eerie storylines of intrigue and suspense are sure to
leave you shaken and stirred.

First aired in 1995, 'American Gothic' was unlike anything else on
mainstream television and was cancelled by CBS after 18 episodes, leaving
four un-aired. Since then however the series has steadily developed a huge
cult following.

'American Gothic' was created by former teen idol Shaun Cassidy and
executive produced by the team that brought the world both 'Hercules' and
'Xena: Warrior Princess', Sam Raimi and Robert Tapert.

The cast and crew have an impressive pedigree. Previously known for his role
as Jack Killian in 'Midnight Caller', Gary Cole has starred in 'In The Line
Of Fire', 'The Ring Two', 'Dodgeball' and 'The West Wing'. Jake Weber
appeared in 'Born on the Fourth of July' and 'Dawn of the Dead' and is
currently starring in the smash hit series, 'Medium'. Lucas Black can
currently be seen in Sam Mendes' 'Jarhead' and stars in the upcoming 'Fast
and Furious: Tokyo Drift'.

Ends 23/04/2006
