A good tool for that is SpaceMonger :

Free, and it shows you where the real hogs are. Don't install if you
have the Google Desktop search on your machine though - the size of
their index files will scare the crap out of you :-)
By default, it shows the free space as grey, which is kinda dumb:
switch that option off ASAP.
