Can anyone offer any suggestions to help prevent what happened to me last
weekend happening again.
I was away last weekend so I set up my Sky Digi box to "auto view" a number
of programmes across the weekend and set my Philips DVDR70 to enable
automatic recording from Satellite receiver and inserted a new, blank dvd+rw
disc, the idea being to dvd record these programmes. The 1st programme on
the list was 1hour and 10 minutes, all the others were 1 hour.
When I came to look back at the disc, the only things recorded were the
final programme on the list, and the last 10 minutes of the first programme
on the list! My assumption is that everytime the satellite receiver came
on, my DVDR70 went into record. but everytime it went into record it
recorded onto the first part of the disc. Having recorded the 1st programme
at 1 hr 10 mins, when the next programme came on, it recorded over the first
hour of the previous recording. Each subsequent recording event over wrote
the previous recording, so what I was left with was the final programme on
the list, and the last 10 minutes of the first programme.
Is there some setting that I've got wrong that caused this to happen, or do
I just have to make sure that I don't use an "RW" disc next time?
