Hello,

I can't find any reviews for the JVC GR-D390 camcorder (new model). Both
cams are about the same price but they have different specs. The JVC cam
has a 32x optical zoom which is pretty nice and the Sony has the famous
infrared night vision, 20x zoom. I just can't decide.

Using the JVC camcorder, is it possible to use an external infrared
illuminator when filming in the dark? According to my TV remote test, the
cam seems sensitive to infrareds but is this all it needs? I don't know..

If you have any suggestions, don't hesitate!
