I had uninstalled Winmx for a bit, and have been using Emule, which
seems very good, and BT which I have been using for ages anyway.
However, I just reinstalled Winmx, and have been seeding a set of files
which I actually got from Winmx a couple of years ago - I am glad to say
they are being snapped-up.
What does the future hold for Winmx now? - The network seems just as
healthy as it ever did, with 1000s (plural) of chatrooms, and there
seems to be less leeches. I also have a really fast new connection and
so have been pumping stuff out at impressive rates, (ooerr Hammerer).
And yet this group is clearly in its death-throes - there is no handy
link from winmx.com to point the way here anymore.....does this mean the
WPN is similarly doomed as newbies dry up? Can we do anything to
jump-start a.m.m.w? Is there any pouint, as despite its functioning,
Winmx looks pretty clunky next to Emule, and now the memory-leak will
never be fixed...
What think you?
