Here's what I'd like to do:
1. Fill a SD card with MP3 files.
2. Drag the card's disk icon on top of the RPG icon on the desktop.
The program then:
3. Scans the card for files, records their (relative) paths, and the
number of them.
4. Prompts the user for the number of times the list will play all the
files on the media
5. Generates a M3u playlist with randomized order, where all the songs
get played without repeats, until the second pass starts, etc.
6. Writes the resulting list back to the same SD card...
Does this exist already?
(This is needed for VW/Audi navigation/radio systems, which can play
from SD in random mode, but if the NEXT button is pressed to skip a
"bad" song, it drops out of random play mode. You need to go back
into a menu to re-enable it.
If you do a NEXT in a playlist, it just skips to the next song in the
list..
Random Playlist Generator with Genres will do the job, with a bunch of
steps, with an additional Notepad edit to strip off the drive letter
prefixes from the list entries.
