Isn't this exactly what they did with DVD - people ditched their VHS tapes
for the higher quality of DVD and people will do that to some degree with
the HD DVD formats (pick one). If the quality is there I think it will (may)
be worth it, but quite frankly there are so many poor looking DVDs today
that I worry they won't do the necessary work to make either of the HD
formats good enough to matter at least on a lot of titles.
