I'm getting more info now: The original contractor removed them because
the ballclub declined to renew the contract, and these 4 11db antenna
were on loan to the club, and are worth about $350. each.
First experiment: Aim the TX

He told me that it's ONMI, and designed to be used vertically!
One other correction: I looked into what was described to me as a Telex
FMR-450 wireless mic receiver (I didn't have my reading glasses with me
at the time). Turns out this is a wireless HEADSET transmitter, form
communications with the camera operator. My whoops!
What's a good replacement wireless? One guy recommends Sennheiser
Evolution ($400.), but they're battery hogs. I wish they'd spring
$2000. for a Lectrosonics, as good as they get!
