Features never have and never will guarantee a win. More features means
more time to learn how to use them which can result in a slower takeup.

Betamax vs VHS. Sony lost.
PSP vs DS - Sony losing.

Sony are not infallible as a company, both the above Sony products are
technically superior to the other yet didn't do so well, there is NO
predicting the future. The major movie studios have just stopped
producing UMD's, I'm sure they'll be taking Sony's word with a massive
pinch of salt from now on having just lost a ton of cash.

Blue Ray sounds intriguing but not really anything to be shouting from
the trees about, especially this early.
