 You still want to run rf coax through DVD Recorder in case you want to
 record one channel and watch a different channel at the same time. The
 DVD Recorder has no rf modulator, the rf coax signal is just passed
 through DVD Recorder.
 
 If your never going to upgrade to a set-top-box and stereo is
 important, you should consider something different, maybe sepeerate
 DVD and VCR.
