What is your agenda to push onto poor unsuspecting people a technology that
has far less industry support, far less studio support, and less technology
involved in it on others? You must be a HD-DVD corporate shill, which we
know that M$ has been pushing off in the AVS Forum - just passing on made up
information instead of waiting for technologies to both come out so people
can properly compare them.
Instead of suggesting that once, you are saying that people should spend
$500.00 or $800.00 because it won't be money wasted should PS3 prove to be a
massive success (like expected) and Blu-ray dominating the HD format.
If HD-DVD dies in 1-2 years, then everyone who buys not only HD-DVD players,
but HD-DVD movies, will not have any means to play them back except by
getting used players. The new 'Beta' format. I would suggest people
generally steer clear of BOTH formats at least for a little while as things
shape up.
Really... is it worth name calling to try to get a point across? You can't
come up with facts, so you attack a person instead? Is this what HD-DVD and
M$ (or is it Toshiba) is sinking to? Why not just discuss points and come
up with realistic counterpoints if you have them. Most of what I have heard
is innacurate information from a lot of people on the technologies and their
potentials.
All HD-DVD offers OVER Blu-ray is an earlier release date and a lower
price... striving for mediocrity. Thanks, I'll pass.

If you're not a shill, what is your agenda in coming to these forums a
few days before the HD-DVD launch to hype Blu-Ray? We're expected to
believe that's some crazy coincidence? Give me a break. Why are you
cross-posting new threads to half a dozen newsgroups? You know who does
that? Spammers and shills do that. People who want to have legitimate
discussion about a topic of interest post in the most relevant
newsgroup. They don't crosspost "Hey, wow, look at this hot new product
coming out!" threads three months in advance to newsgroups that are only
vaguely related to the subject.
