The problem with this is that it assumes that the display has 3 million
individual d/a converters to individually control each pixel with the data
from the frame buffer (which has 3 million output ports).

In reality, the image is scanned on the plasma. The drivers sequence through
the pixels, grabbing the data from the frame buffer memory, and scanning the
screen with the image.
