I do have a fireware card on my computer but do not have direct access
to a miniDV cam. I like this route as a miniDV cam doesn't cost more
than a couple hundred bucks at this point. My next question is...
What Betacam recorder (in terms of price/availability/functionality)
makes the most sense? I've noticed the Sony UVW-1800 seems to be a
pretty popular model (and reasonably priced).
I don't need anything fancy but having a firewire input on the deck
would be nice!
