Video transfer through USB is crap, not enough data can be chucked down
the line fast enough to ensure good quality, invest in a firewire card
and cable, I did this for my Sony DV and the quality much improved.
Also when capturing, ensure that you select that you will be watching
back on Pc, if you select DVD playback the AVI it creates will be huge,
but not a great improvement on if you select the other option.
Use NeroExpress or similar to convert to DVD.
