It's not hard to transcribe those LPs and cassettes to digital. All you
need is a sound card with line input (most all have this, it's the blue
audio jack) and a recording program like dBPowerAmp. You'll also need a
preamplifier for the turntable, but you can find a decent one of those for
as little as $25-30. Do a Web search on recording LPs to learn the details
of how to do it. But, the bottom line is, it's about the same as when we
used to record to tapes, and it gives pretty good results.
