You can cancel it whenever you want, you don't have to wait for the voucher
to arrive. I got my voucher less than 24 hours after signing up, though as
it says, you could be waiting up to 28 days.

I don't think there's anything for them to get wise to, it's their own offer
and the T&C's specifically say you can cancel at any time and still get the
voucher, there's no shady business going on or loophole being exploited,
it's all completely legit... And if you can't log in to Screen Select then
mail them - they have nothing to gain by stopping you from logging in.
