If Sony wanted to be bull headed and "show the world", they could
probably take an initial hit doing just that. Imagine 15 years
ago.. If all they did was release tons of Betamax movies, the
sales of their hardware units would increase. Of course, they
need to have the rights to enough movies people wanted to see.
From a traditonal business perspective, you are correct.
