Who would want to.
Physics died 35 years ago when the govt ran off all the talented
people. Now the university physics departments look like third world
countries. And the bitter irony is that we taxpayers get to educate
these foreigners only to find them going back home using their
knowledge to build WMD to destroy America.
If ever there were empirical proof of the cosmic Law of Karma (what
goes around comes around) it is the sellout of physicists 35 years
ago.
Fortunately there is more to life than playing academic jungle warfare
so those who were displaced actually were lucky. The unlucky ones were
the few who managed to hang on to a dying profession.
