I received a DVD that was apparently made from a series of
six 1/2 hour UK TV shows first recorded on tape. On my PC, all
six episodes play and sound just great. On my Phillips DVD
player, connected to my TV, episodes 2 and 5 play but with no
audio. The remaining episodes are AOK. How can that be??

I have tried re-authoring the original VOB files using Nero
Digital Video Express, and then re-burning. No change.

I'm guessing my only hope is to play the DVD on the PC,
running TV-out to a VCR, and then playing the VCR tape
back in thru my TV capture card to create a new DVD.

Any other suggestions welcome.
