You have at least two equations and three unknowns.
You can't make a definitive evaluation with the info
you have available. Different cameras that use the same
tape (VHS or 8mm or whatever) can have very different
camera sections.

Sony generally makes nice stuff. I am a great fan of
both Sony audio and Sony video equipment. But
without actual model numbers (and specs) there is
no way anybody could even guess which camera is
"better"?
Did you tell us why you are asking? What are you
trying to do here? If it is just "home movies" that is
one thing. If you are shooting video for produciton
and distribution, that is a different matter.
