Sony's cameras are always setup towards the cool side of neutral while I
believe Panasonic have a greener and warmer setup. I have always used Sony
cameras and therefore the Sony setup is my datum and find other cameras
"odd." Pana and JVC cams have gone together well probably due in some part
to their shared parentage.
If the Canon XL-H1 is anything to go by they might be more of a trend in
allowing users to "fiddle" with just about every parameter that makes up the
picture. Whether this will make matching cameras any easier or completely
impossible time will no doubt tell.
