I'm hoping that someone here can take a glance at my info below and be
able to quickly say "yeah" or "no way" and maybe give me some advice.
I know a bit about sat stuff. Was in it way back in c-band days, but
there is so much hacking crap to wade through and way more various
equipment that I can't tell what I'm getting into.
Basically, I want to know if I can use my 20" dvb dish (with a new lnb,
I presume since I still have the circular polarity one from when I was
a dishnet subscriber on there now) with the Pantec ultra (pansat/fortec
clone) to recieve BYUTV (the only thing I want with the DVB)
Here's the info on where I plan to snag the dvb signal for BYUTV -
* Telstar 5 ch. 11
* Downlink 3934.80
* 3.648 mb/s
* tag 0 (or tag 15)
* mpeg mode: transport
* signal: digital compander MPEG2
* Requires a digital compression satellite receiver capable of
receiving a DVB stream is needed (Wegener 4000, 500, 396, 400, or 422
are recommended).
Here's the specs of the clone dbv receiver -

I guess what I'm asking is
1) is a 20" dish big enough?
2) do I need a different lnb?
3) will this receiver receive/decode the signal?
Thanks in advance for your advice or direction.
