That'd be my guess as well. IMHO, manufacturers won't have a choice
because most consumers are not going to want to have 1 CD/DVD player and 1
HD DVD player on their shelf. They're going to want to shove whatever
shiny silver disc they have into their player, and have it do its thing.
I really can't imagine most people being willing to accept the idea that
CDs need to go into one machine, but movies go into another machine.
Hopefully this format war will end quickly as I really don't relish the
idea of having to shell out more for a CD/DVD/HD-DVD/Blu-Ray player. Just
think of all the moving parts that could break down.
