I have to agree in this sense: I am quite satisfied - make that *very*
satisfied - with current pressed DVDs on a hi-def TV, and I just don't
particularly feel the need for more rez.

Full disclosure: I am not young and my eyes aren't what they were in Jr
High School, but they're still pretty damn good with my glasses on.

However, I wouldn't mind being able to back up all my hard-drive crap
to a 100 GB optical disk.

Confession of ignorance: I have read essentially nothing about
holographic storage. However, I am very skeptical that it can be made
practical. Note: my background *is* physics, so my intuition is good.
Note 2: I have been wrong before, and this may be yet another error :-)
