Hello,
a few days ago I pre-ordered "The Quiet Earth" from Amazon.com.
It is not cheap ($ 18.69 ++ p&p) but the technical details list
widescreen.
Release date is June 13 2006, just a day after I turn 40 :-))).
The old RC 0 was cheap in 2003, just checked, is even cheaper now.
But it is 4:3. As I have not seen it yet (want to read the book
first), I can only guess, that maybe the picture quality is also
not too good (which remains to be compared to the new one).
The book is not easily available, but you might buy it through
a new-zealand bookstore from the author (if he is still alive
and has a few copies left) signed. But it was rather expensive.
If you need details I can look them up, email me, I will quote you
the price I paid, so you have an idea if it is worth it.
