I have done read tests of several burned disks now and they all get
100% (no errors). But wouldn't this test be affected by my DVD-drive?
All the disks read perfect on most readers, it's only one the one
DVD-player there is trouble. And the test can tell me anything about
the size and quality of the "marks" in the dye on the outer part of
the disc as long as the DVD-writer itself never get any read-errors
(not even on the same disc that the DVD-player has trouble with :-)
Of course I could take a trip and test the disc on other DVD-readers
(try to find some PCs with real cheap DVD-drives and see the result).
But I'm sure that there are plenty reading this post that have done
this and might have some tips on how to test this for the best :-)
If nothing else works of course I could make copies of the DVD the
player has trouble with at different writing speeds, and see what
copies will read on the "cheap" player, then those burns must be
better that the ones not reading, right (would only cost 2 DVD+Rs)
