When you consider that the SSB is typically truncated to the first
verse alone when it is sung, and when you consider the majority of
Americans don't even know there are 4 verses to the song, much less
what the other 3 verses are, I really don't see why it's such a big
deal for you.
Take a look at the full SSB, the Spanish version is very much in
keeping with the themes and images. In fact, the 2nd Spanish verse that
you're complaining about seems to lift lines from the other 3 (unsung)
verses.
