CDFreaks is the most active. Join some forums and participate.
If you want an inexpensive basic unit, I recommend the ILO DVDR05MU1,
$99 WalMart. Call tech support and get 6.10 f/w. You will be able to
play XviD AVIs (bit torrents). Get Verbatim 4x +RWs from Sam's Club.
All the other brands are crap (ILO technical staff use Verbatims).
The ILO DVDR05MU1 is identical except for branding as the Cyberhome
1600.
