Thank you for your trouble. It's a very comprehensive review(over 40
pages) originally in German( www.cine4home.de ) but recently they have
been supplying English translations.
Apparently 576p through the HDMI shows the worst fraying, 720p shows
an improvement and 1080i shows none, and it's not a problem with the
Component inputs.
This review doesn't seem to mention the problem of the 20% drop in
resolution in the Component input that was mentioned in the PERFECT
VISION March-April 2006 review.
Is it possible that this problem only manifested itself on the USA
version?
Have you noticed any "fraying" when using HDMI 576p input on your
machine?
Apparently it's mostly visible in animated films.
