You must be thinking of some other show. This never happened on The Time
Tunnel. The second half of the season is as good as the first. I remember
two episodes in particular that were outstanding: The Walls of Jericho, and
Billy the Kid. Only about two episodes were silly, which is typical of
Irwin Allen. The rest of the episodes were good to very good.

Fox only broke up the series into two parts on DVD because of their
experience with Lost in Space. It worked out better for Fox to have the
DVDs in smaller sets with cheaper prices in stores. There is no other
reason.
