Hi, and thank you for all the responses.
The posts all seem to be talking about video files and it's not video
files I'm having difficulty editing.
I tried this fix but it didn't work. When I searched for the dll
file, it's not one I have. I even unhid all the files first. But it
doesn't show up. However, it's exactly the kind of fix I that would
seem to work. Does anyone have any idea what else could be happening
here?
One poster in a Windows 2000 group said it was probably my old
computer that is causing this. I don't know if that is true or not,
but they said that this seems to happen when system don't have enough
power for the OS (?). I don't know if that's the case. However, I'm
still stuck.
When I tried another ID3 tag editor, the changes wouldn't be made and
it gave a message such as "file in use" (which it wasn't).
I'm hoping someone might know of a solution that works. It's such a
drag to work with my MP3s. I'm transferring my cassette audio book
collections to MP3s, but I have to endlessly fiddle before I can add
the tag information. Also, quite often I can't even rename the file.
But that's not as difficult to overcome as I just have to select
another and play it and that often releases the OSs hold over the MP3
I'm trying to rename.
Anyway, thanks. Still haven't found solution but will keep trying.
