Err... you do realize that accessing usenet via Google Groups is either
a) the sign of a clueless newbie
or
b) the last refuge of the usenet-addicted who, for whatever reason, can't
avail themselves of a proper NSP.

Google groups filled a void (left by DejaNews, purchased by Google), but in
no way should be considered an effective portal to usenet. For archiving
past posts, full marks... for being a decent interactive newsreader...
failure.
And I say this as someone who happens to enjoy the Google-verse.

However... the caveat remains... "buyer, beware" - even when it costs you
nothing.
