I guess they stay with something that works for them instead of jumping ship to the latest
and prettiest at the drop of a HAT. I think OpenNap and chat are two features that have
kept WinMX popular in Italy. The WinMX Italia site is still very active while sites such
as WinMX Central have left the building.
The chat function is also big in Japan, where chat tools have been developed for the WPN.
But then, my feet would be very big in Japan too, so I'm not sure if popularity in Google
searches would necessarily correlate with a program's popularity.

This shows how the other 2 words (kazaa and bittorrent) fare where the first word (winmx)
is most searched for. We'd see different bar charts if kazaa or bittorrent were the
first word.
